The Prince\'s Drawing School were staying at Northlands Creative Glass, and sent out an invitation for local artists to join them for a day of painting En Plein Air.
I had never painted outside with oils before and jumped at the opportunity.
My easel folds up and packs away quite nicely. A couple of play-do tubs for holding thinner, and paints and a bag for my brushes and I was away.
We worked separately meeting up for lunch to discuss painting and art, and again at the end to discuss how I had got on.
My first effort in the morning was a bit disappointing and is not shown here. I was happier with my second, spent the afternoon over a cliff at Lybster. I thought there might be a few midges out so had chosen a cliff-top position as it would be breezier. The rain kept away and I had an enjoyable day out.
